Now that all my info is transferred over here is a HD-DVD rip playing at full screen.

So far the increase is speed is hard to tell since I have no run anything intensive on the computer but I have noticed it runs multiple apps that a processor intensive well at the same time. The magic mouse is very cool to use. It feels like using my iPhone in the way it responds to scrolling speed.

Dwarfs? You have the 24 inch, I assume?
Yes the 24" LED Cinema is connected to my Mac Pro.

To the OP, as far as using the 27" iMac with another device attached to it, I think it only works when plugged into the Mini Displayport in the back. I plugged my 15" MacBook Pro to the iMac, and the display automatically picked up the input and switched to the extend display mode. If I unplug it the display reverts back to the iMac desktop.

how does it look having to sit up close to it when sitting at your desk? I think regardless it will look great, but you know your mother used to tell you that it would ruin your eyes to sit that close...lol. I have a 27'' on the way (well sometime in november), it is going to take up my entire desk:D

That photo is extremely glossy because it still had the plastic cover on the screen. I admit it is glossy but not that crazy.:D

Would love to hear your continued
experiences with the magic mouse.
There aren't a hell of a lot of reviews
out there and many of us are dying
to find out if this mouse fits the bill.

I make about 200 dollars a week and get paid weekly and my room is getting redone. i'm getting the 27inch because I like having a lot of windows open so i'll just have my black macbook set up on the side. Right now i'm at 11 bucks. I'm going to save until like April though.

Here is a down and dirty review. There were many customers so I was only able to play with the new magic mouse for a few minutes on a display iMac at the local electronics store.

Impressions:

- Heavier than it looks. Very solid feel. Moves easily -- glides -- on the surface.

- Fit my hand well. Almost like it wasn't there.

- Left and right clicks were easy to do.

- Single finger vertical scrolling was smooth. Loved it.

- Two finger horizontal scrolling was hard to do. I kept moving the mouse. When I did get the right gesture and pressure, it seemed to work well.

Sorry for the short review. Only had a couple of minutes with the Magic Mouse.

Priorities?

Received my new 27" iMac tonight from Apple online after ordering the day it came out. Upgraded from a 24" 2.8 ghz iMac and will post more side by side photos later. I may even try and hook my PS3 up to the new iMac just to watch Blu-Ray on it.

can you give me box measurements?

This new 27" is something. Going to the Austin Apple store today to check
out the screen.

Thinking of getting one with one of the Nehalem processors next month.

Here are some side by side photos of a 24" iMac and the new 27".

hmm for some reason i thought the 27 would look HUGE next to the 24...thats kind of a good thing, seems like it just simply got a little wider and thats about it.
