Parallels tech preview for M1

I was hoping for a kind of emulation...
With the M1's extra speed I was hoping that it would be fine...
It may well come, as the post said on Parallels, this is their first release, it's early, it's buggy and it's anything but feature complete. I'm paraphrasing of course, because I can't be bothered copy & pasting
That you do, I signed up on the day they opened them and got my email earlier, I don't have my M1 yet so it's about as much use as sun cream is to me. But it'll be waiting come chrimbo
With the ARM version of Windows installed you should be able to run older 32 bit Intel Windows apps.
You could try something like putty...
You're telling me, it's torture. not that I'm helping matters, I should be avoiding anything to do with them. instead, I've been reading hundreds of articles and watching more YouTube videos than I have in the past 15 years combined

currently trying to install the 21277 insider preview via iso but it seems to get stuck on a black screen after the first restart during windows installation

during setup, I chose to go on without an installer image. added the ISO later on in the settings of the VM.
No changes to the defaults in Parallels with a Windows Insider build and this is the Geekbench returned on a MacBook Pro 8GB. The Mac itself didn't skip a beat, fans didn't activate (haven't actually heard them yet since purchase!)

How exactly did you set it up? Using the pre-canned VHDX file from Microsoft or some other way?
Only other thing I can suggest is I am running it from an external SSD - can't see how that would make a difference, but there we go
For Windows I used an Insider preview VHDX. Worked until I installed the Guest Tools. Downloading a fresh copy, this one was previously configured and run under QEMU.
Installed Ubuntu server followed by adding Ubuntu Desktop. All comes up, but no ARM64 Guest Tools? I only see prl-tools-lin.iso, no prl-tools-lin-arm.iso as the prl-tools-win-arm.iso in the Bundle.

Does seem quite buggy tbf - I managed to get guest tools installed, and Coherence works as expected
