Here is a work around that I figured out (if you don't mind doing these steps each time you connect pdanet1.4 to you computer).

1-Connect as usual
2-On computer, go to http://my.iphone/
3-Click on "Purchase Licence"
4-Click on "I agree"
5-Wait for the purchase page to load
6-Start surfing with limitations lifted

They have to remove the limitations in order to process the purchase, however they can't put the limitations back until the next time you connect and it confirms that you have not yet purchased, at which time you simply repeat the steps.

Takes a few seconds to do at each connect, but until its cracked for good, this will keep you going without paying those crooked "bait and switch" fools $30
Cityfido_Hiptop

brilliant
bump all that other crap
:D

I installed 1.4 & applied the patch, but it doesn't show up on the springboard after a reboot. I previously had 1.51, but uninstalled it before doing anything else. Any ideas on how to get the icon to apear? The files for it are in the application folder because I can see them when I SSH into the phone, and Cydia insists I update to 1.51, but the icon for what I have installed just won't show :(

Bait and switch? ... Are you serious?
We should all be great full that the developers were generous enough to have you noobs have this remarkable app for free as long as they did.

$29, once?
Chump change for a product like this.

It was not Bait and Switch.
It was more like "...here you go, check it out."
"O, its good?"
"For sure man. Honeymoon is over.
$30 bucks, up front, one time."

Whats the problem?

Believe it,
They don't put a price tag on medications that are still being tested.
Doctors put a price on it when the product is 100%
Child's play fellas, come on.

Were you high when you decided to bump this ancient thread with this garbage?

Anyways, go by MyWi. It's far cheaper at only $10 and far more useful than PDANet. It doesn't require the laptop to create an ad-hoc network.

And the developers don't bait and switch either.
