We were going up a shallow creek off the Thames, January 1986, caught a buoy rope around the prop, and spent the rest of the night and the next morning walking around the boat

Surprising too. At least it was on the day we were leaving rather than arriving. I mean, I know there are sharks out there. But that’s a little close for me.

I have no idea what happened to it. It had some wounds but I wasn’t sure if they were pre or post mortem and I also had an irrational fear of getting too close to it even though I knew logically it couldn’t get me.
