I had to go very far back into my archives for this one. This is a scan of a negative of the main mast of the Charles W Morgan. The Morgan is a whaler that was completed in 1841. It is now a museum at Mystic, Connecticut. I shot this 50+ years ago with my Brownie camera.
No @jz0309, I don't know what film I used. I was young. It was whatever my father gave me. You don't get to ridicule me about this one. :D

Years ago my first wife and I took a cruise on a ship called the Mystic Whaler. It went all through the Virgin Islands with a limited number of guests. It was a relatively new ship at the time, unique because it had a flat bottom and had a draft of 12', which meant we could slip in to shallow coves at night where other sail boats couldn't. Two things stand out in my memory, when we got on they were loading many cases of Budwieser! I asked why and they said they couldn't refrigerate milk, so they would cook with beer! They had constant electric problems and I helped as best I could, got to know the crew and Captain and he let me pilot the ship back into the harbor at the end of the trip.

Still in business, but sailing out of Mystic CT. See it here: https://mysticwhalercruises.com

Probably somewhere in an old photo album there may be a few shots that I took with my Brownie at age 8 or 9..... I know I've got some pictures that I shot around my college campus when I had a Kodak Instamatic camera. I am now going to resist the temptation to jump up and run off to find the photo albums and start looking through them...... LOL!!

Mystic Connecticut is a neat place! Years ago I went with a friend to the aquarium and the area there, and we had a lot of fun, but for some reason I didn't shoot photos, or if I did they've long since been lost....

It’s called Legoland... and they don’t throw darts at larger people ?

Arthur Gugick was a teacher in one of the high schools in my area. He was an internationally recognized Lego artist. His work is amazing. Sadly, he and his girlfriend were killed by a drunk driver a couple of years ago. I'm told that some of his work is now at Lego Land.

I will have to look that up...
