I quite like it, maybe not technically great, but its better than i expected.

I like this one a lot. Any chance you might share a larger sized version? I can't quite make out the details.

Might have gone a little crazy on this one, but crazy can be fun and invigorating sometimes...

This is a bit of a mish mash, the sky is HDR but the grass looked terrible so I cropped it out and used the non HDR grass.

Wow, tremendous colors!

What kind of PP did you do on this?

Here's a 35mm scan from Glenveagh National Park, Ireland:

EVERYTHINGISNT Thanks very much your shot is great I half expect a fairy or a Disney creature to run across the image ;)

The pp on my last shot was really just 2 exposures one normally exposed and one slightly over exposed. I combined them in photoshop. The foreground cropped from the overexposed and merged on top of the normal exposed background.

Wherever I hang my hat...
Doylem,

Where do you take your pictures on lake Windermere?
I looked it up on Google maps, Lots of sailboats!
Your pictures remind me of Lake Champlain in upper New York state. We have a sailboat on that lake. The landscape is similar. Also quite popular for sailboats.
All of your pictures are beautifull.

Danny

Thanks, Danny. Lake Windermere, in the English Lake District, is the longest lake in the country... though still only 11 miles long. It's the most popular lake for boating, though a 10mph speed limit for motor boats was introduced in 2005. The lake is a lot quieter now; better for sailboats, dinghies, canoes, windsurfers, etc. A lot of the pix I've been posting here will appear in a book. I posted them to the publisher yesterday - phew - and the book will be out for Christmas... :)

Here's one the beautiful old steamboats...
