"Economic Downfall"
I kept the safety strap in color in order accentuate the idea of a "lost sense of safety". Since the strap is also red, I hoped to portray an image of blood dripping into the murky water to further personify the idea of "blood and sweat"; two words commonly used to denote hard work
...ya i know i'm retarded, but whatever.

P.S.
Just a heads up to anyone using Flickr, I had one of my All Rights Reserved images on this website http://hdrwalls.com/. The website also claims all rights to any photos on there, so it kinda ticks me off.

of course it's a picture I like but there are at least three things I don't like about it: the oil on the asphalt, looks like Photomatix doesn't let you filtrate the details to enhance, the car reflected on it's doors and maybe the not so natural look of the clearer rear wall visible through the car's windows..
the only PP has been made in Photomatix, not cropped(it makes me like it even more)
CC welcome, original pic to be shown on demand

Wow, tremendous colors!

What kind of PP did you do on this?

Here's a 35mm scan from Glenveagh National Park, Ireland:

Doylem,

Where do you take your pictures on lake Windermere?
I looked it up on Google maps, Lots of sailboats!
Your pictures remind me of Lake Champlain in upper New York state. We have a sailboat on that lake. The landscape is similar. Also quite popular for sailboats.
All of your pictures are beautifull.

My first photo post. Taken a few days ago in my backyard. Camera is Canon S3 IS, adjustments with Aperture 2.0, matting done with Photoshop Elements 6.0. Comments and constructive criticism are much appreciated. There are a lot of good photographers on this forum. I am impressed and inspired.

One of my "first favorite photos" taken a few years back. I really need to get this negative properly scanned:( anyways, here's the best my multifunction printer can do...(the hair is a lot clearer).

Cool picture TommyD!
