I don't recall it so I guess not. It's probably your angel, but these look like the worlds steepest steps.

what angel are you trolling about? :D I don't know that bird

it's actually a brave camera angle, world's steepest steps are in the london tube

someone call cheese & apple, he has a contest to close. his hungover needs to be over asap

Oh yes London is pretty steep, especially buying houses!

Armenian crosses in B&W

I think I really see the world in B&W, even when I try to shoot it in color.

Here is a B&W version of the photo I posted the other day of the crosses commemorating the Armenian genocide:

Had a play with my Industar-50 lens yesterday. It mainly highlighted that I need to do some gardening.

But gardening isn't as fun as photography! Although I do wish I had one of those beautiful flowering gardens. I mostly grow shrubs and weeds. Going to put some sunflowers in though again this year. Pretty easy to plant and attract the bee's.

Wow! Peter, that 200mm lens and you are a magic team

Thanks Alex...much appreciated. I do enjoy shooting with that lens. The 200mm length can be a huge challenge for wildlife but when I can get in tight, it doesn't let me down.

Don't forget AFB...One man's weeds are another man's flowers and plants. It's just a matter of "perspective". :)

Tried pushing in closer with a wider-angle lens to get a different look. I haven't worked out a setup yet that gives me the view/perspective I am looking for, but I thought this one was interesting. Minimal cropping on this one.

An unusual perspective for a hummingbird shot. Very well done.
Are you lying there in wait? Handheld? (Sorry if I missed where you already told us how you get these shots).

God I hate gardening! I begrudge having to go out once a week to mow the lawn (and it's only tiny). My excuse is that the weeds are good food for the tortoises :)

Our neighbours are retired so spend most of their time pottering around their garden making it look beautiful. Ours just looks like some kind of distopian future version of theirs after some terrible war has wreaked havoc upon it.
