A wild flowering plant I saw on a mountain ridge a few Springs ago in Alaska (no idea of what it is):

A type of heather would be my guess, but @Ish is our resident horticulturalist!

Lol! I'm more familiar with European plants, I'm afraid, but it might be a species of Pedicularis, a parasitic plant. Not a heather as their flowers are more of a short rounded tube.

Well you'll just have to do some more travelling! I knew you'd have a better idea than me.

@Apple fanboy I'm off to a conference in the States next week. Mr Ish is taking part and doing some presentations and I'll be taking the photos. Won't be able to get away from the hotel complex so I'll have to see what's on site. :)

A spa? A bar? A restaurant?
I think you'll be okay. :)
Enjoy your trip and hopefully Mr ISH will have a little time to spend with you.

How's the full time gig going?

I reckon you missed the morning dew, but just sprayed the grass so you didn't have to mow it. I'm always telling Mrs AFB it's too wet to cut (which it often is!).

God yeah best trick in the book... Too wet.. Will hack it up and ruin it... :)

I'll rise to it then... it was really dew, although I don't know where the coloured bits of bokeh came from, but it was only just the morning when I took it.

By the way, the grass is way too wet to cut :D

Cheers :)

18 years of marriage. You have to be on top of your game if you want any photography time!
How's the garden makeover coming along?

It is killing me. I have been shovelling chuckies - the small stones. bags and bags of the things! my back aches and my legs are killing me. No sympathy from the boss mind you!

I think this is amazing!
[doublepost=1459766666][/doublepost]So, I went out for lunch with the girls yesterday and took a picture of an ornate lamp on the wall outside the Busby Hotel in Glasgow.

I took the picture but I was left wanting something from it. It felt cold and sterile so I had a play in LR.

I know I am only allowed one image a day and I could PS them together but I wanted to post both and get comments.

Definitely the second one. Love the tone of it.
