Took this specifically with my son in mind. He loves balls. Felt it would work better to shoot it in IR to have the grass light in tone compared to the football. With a standard camera, the tones of the grass would have blended into the tones of the football.

Really like how the depth of field isolates the flowers. The only thing I found distracting are the blurred flowers in the upper half of the picture. I think cropping the top half out would focus all the attention on the bluebells. Just my two cents.
Cheers George - Intention was to give the impression of a carpet of bluebells but I can see what you mean about the potential for distraction. I'm afraid I'm a bit ambivalent about this type of OOF shot - but they seem to be all the rage so I gave it a go. I'll post something else and see if there is an improvement.

What was he fishing for - don't just say fish - please.

The greenness of this scene is a real attraction. Was the vignette added later?

I might have cropped instead - but - your way is a good way.

Regards Sharkey
I'm sorry, I haven't a clue what fish stocks are in that pond.

The shot was taken with a Sony A7 and 1970s Nikkor-H 50mm f/2 lens - I didn't have a wide angle with me at the time - then processed with Google Nik HDR Efex, which added the vignette in post.

Cheers :)

Hugh
