What a gorgeous city, one of my favourites in N.America (I grew up in Vancouver which is also stunning). I also love of course besides the flower pics the bird pics. Around my neighbourhood in Geneva all we have are pigeons and crows. Well in the countryside a lot more variety at least.

This view is to your left-hand side. If you look closely you can barely see the Golden Gate Bridge covered in fog. A clear view of Alcatraz Jail (right in the middle of the bay) can also be seen in this shot. Just amazing!📍

I was going to guess cherry, but I don’t see a lot of them where I live to have a confident answer! I think our springs are too hard on the ornamental varieties. We do have a junky landscape variety available that only lives maybe 15 years and looks pretty ragged by the time it’s done. We also have the native black cherry, but it doesn’t have the showy flowers and becomes a large tree at maturity.
