Burnaby, BC, Canada
An approaching storm over Burnaby, BC yesterday, as viewed from our apartment's balcony, during an extended 'watching & waiting' happy hour yesterday. When it finally arrived near us, we had a good, but quite brief, downpour of rain mixed with some snow. April showers!!

I have an awesome app on my iPhone called Seek. You point the iPhone camera at the flower or insect etc and it pretty much instantly tells you what it is. It also works from photographs and it identified the flower in question as “Pride of Madeira”.

Does it look like this? https://www.thespruce.com/growing-pride-of-madeira-5088226
Thanks for the tip!
Seek is made by the same people of iNaturalist, another great app I'm using since a long time .
The other day taking photos on my iPhone I just discovered that Photos can tell you plants names as well.

Horsetail.jpg

Macro of a horsetail, invasive plant, but fascinating structure. Latin name is Equisetum that means something related to horses= equi
When you pull it out of the ground it looses many of its little needles and this is the way it propagates beside its roots that can go very deep in the ground and it comes back. I found out the only way is to enrich your soil but still.
It was the first plant to grow after Volcanos eruptions.
