Just a reminder, please only post one image per day!

Here's mine for today:

Click the above image for EXIF.

Neat composition and angle, how ever I strongly dislike the face she is giving.
Sorry, I was not paying attention about the "one image per day." It won't happen again.

Now, about your photo: I really like it. Well done, nice and sharp, and sort of cute.

Dont worry about it man. If you are going to post a couple, put them in TIMG format (instead of IMG when putting in the image link)

Just found out, sunsets are particularly difficult to shoot!
This is a chance shoot out my bedroom window (hence ugly rooftops in shot) but I like the way the colours came out. (unedited)

Well, I think you've asked a question... and answered it yourself. Taking a "chance shot out of your bedroom window" will capture the colour of a sunset, but that's all. To get a really good sunset shot, IMO, you've got to do some forward planning... and be at your chosen location, with camera on tripod, before the 'main event'.

A portrait shot at 18mm, funny expression, head too big. But... it works... :)

Great shot ! Nice and sharp. I was at the German GP at Hockenheim in July but had a big fence in between me and the track so my photo's were pants.
Got a better shot of a McLaren at the f1 village.

My race photo's as duff as they are can be found on my flickr.

Agreed, would have had better results if I'd planned it (as far as you can plan the Scottish summer!), climbed up a nice peak or went down to a beach. I was just trying to demonstrate results from an unplanned spur-of-the-moment shot, which I think shows to all other newbies OK results but nowhere as good as some of the more professional efforts. And as my first time attempting it, I was rather pleased the way it came out and will give me some experience if I want to attempt a planned shot in the future (difficult with a young family.)
