AFB if you get the chance to take a balloon ride with your camera in tow, do it. My only balloon ride was in Africa and I did not have a camera with me, regret it to this day.

These guys are not quite as elusive as the Kingfisher but are very difficult to get at eye level as they prefer the treetops.

I have been to Adelaide several time, one my favorite Aussie cities, next to Perth and I do not recognize it.

I was in Reading lastnight and could have cried. I was stuck on a train and by the time I got somewhere that i could get an image, it was finished. :-(

I'm not sure how I'd feel about the ride tbh. I might get a touch of vertigo whilst I'm in the balloon. But I'm sure you could get some stunning shots.

Very close, well it involves water. They are actually enclosures for water tanks as part of a pumping station in a ritzy suburb.

I was looking forward to this year's Perseid meteor shower however after a clear sky all day long, the weather has been against me - hopefully tomorrow then!

fooling around with an adjustable ND filter set to "bloody near opaque" ... 32 mm, 100 ISO, f/22, 30 second exposure ... interesting colours and shading as the sunlight and shade moved around over those 30 seconds

Thanks Tom. It's me. I have no idea how to embed a picture from flickr. I'm trying to separate out forum type imagery from my SmugMug site.

Any clues for both the flickr end and on the forum here, in regards to getting an image up is greatly appreciated and thanked in advance.
