Edit: I've just read up on version III and it looks like a winner on the A7. They have made it quite a bigger bigger compared to the original LTM mount version that I have:

But yes, £500 notes for wide angle. I quite fancy that...

Got the roofing guy in this week. Let's see how skint I am by Thursday then I may scratch this months itch... ;-) it wont stop the M,Q, A7Rii itch... but will occupy me for a while...

So.. decided to go out bug hunting yesterday morning . Wasn't looking for the usual big butterflies and bees , but rather the little stuff everyone misses . Didn't find much , maybe they were at the beach . but I did find this thing...

The window over the door of Lacock Abbey, in Wiltshire, was the subject of - arguably - the first photograph. It dates back to 1835, when William Fox Talbot coated a sheet of writing paper with salt and silver nitrate and placed it in a small wooden camera, for an exposure that may have lasted hours…
