Hugh, were you able to get any images of the wasps face? I know it's not any easy thing to do with them being so nasty!

I hadn't seen this behaviour before. Thanks for the share.

Only out of focus shots of his head I'm afraid - he was moving too quickly

Wherever I hang my hat...
Why when shooting insects like this, the best composition are always out of focus? The ones of the insect butt, you always nail!
I need to find slower insects!

I interviewed Chris Packham, many years ago, when he was trying to make his way in nature photography. He confessed that he put butterflies in the freezer for a while; it slowed them down, apparently, and made them easier to photograph...
