You know I'm going to ask what those lovely flowers are, don't you?

I don't think my wife or daughter would approve! Many insect pictures you see involve dead insects as well. Cheating a bit really.I interviewed Chris Packham, many years ago, when he was trying to make his way in nature photography. He confessed that he put butterflies in the freezer for a while; it slowed them down, apparently, and made them easier to photograph...

Kiddo just got glasses. Looks like Harry Potter will be the costume for next Halloween
Took my newly acquired Voigtlander Nokton Classic 35mm 1.4 out for it's first outing yesterday. This was outside of London Liverpool Street station.
He he he.... so come on, what are you thinking so far? keeper? nice and sharp by the look of it. It has a certain characteristic of its own wide open and it is TINY isnt it?
I like what you did with this composition, mixed it up a bit add some tension.
Definitely a keeper! I'm a real evangelist for Voigtlander lenses at the moment. They're so well built and really deliver the goods. This one is another peach. It is tiny but my Heliar 15mm still holds the record for most ridiculously tiny lens in my arsenal at the minute. Hoping to get out and take some more shots with it today.
I liked that shot of the busker because of the emotion showing on her face. I took this one of her too but it didn't have the same impact I felt, even though the composition was better.
*gasp* breaking the two shots in a day rule! I'm such a rebel
Please tell me this is OOC not PP....
Yep. There is a version III now that works way better...No your not talking tosh. That makes perfect sense.
Go for the Heliar. It's a great lens. There might be some issues with it on the A7, I can't remember but I seem to recall that it might not have been that great on it. I could be talking tosh too. If it does work out ok then it is definitely worth it. It's small enough to pop in your jeans pocket when out and about and it close focuses to about 30cm, which is unheard of for M mount lenses. I basically use it like a point and shoot lens as at F8 everything is in focus from about a metre away.
Edit: Here's the article I read about the Heliar and the A7
