Thanks Ken. These panning shots were much harder to capture. Probably just my poor technique letting me down.Superb shot!
Anyway I was happy with this one.

Yes, that was what I was trying to do, but I didn't want to go too far.View attachment 645515
Does this help? Photoshop allows simple independent adjustments to either shadows or highlights.
You are both welcome for a coffee and photo walk!

Hey now, I have standards...And that's what zoom lenses are for right? Comfortography?
Most definitely dangerous...African Cape Buffalo.
If you guys start buying my prints, maybe I could afford to fly you in!If you'll throw in airfare, I'm in, too.

Real sense of menace with the way you've treated this one. Great atmosphere. Most definitely dangerous...African Cape Buffalo.
Thats pretty neat . Were you using a tripod and pano head , or doing "hold and hope"I was playing around with the pano feature in lightroom and put together this shot. It consists of 9 separate shots taken with the 6D and 17-40mm zoom. In its original format, 10218x6382, it gives stunning detail.

This guy was fast! Much harder to shoot than the grey owl. But we did get a few glimmers of sunlight which were nice.
