I hear you, my OCD has forced me to toy with the straightening tool a lot, but I can't seem to make it work. When I move it around, the pole left of the man is crooked, and that drives me crazy! I actually should've positioned myself in a slightly different place, but alas, I couldn't really move around the shop with complete freedom.

It is indeed! It's next to Fat Bottomed Girl's Cupcake Shoppe. We don't have too many streets conducive to street photography, but the one we do have is quite entertaining!

Mostly a bit of lens distortion at the edge I think. The cross beam at the top is pretty horizontal, just Alex isn't standing square to the window. Probably hiding behind the curtains! :D



Edit: Didn't spot the new page and Alex's answer. Nothing to see here, move along … :)

How's this? I was able to adjust it to some extent with the Image > Transform > Distort tool and pulling the top, left corner out just a bit. It's still not perfect, as the top of the window frame is not 100% level, but trying to pull the right top corner up resulted in the top window frame line becoming jagged...

I think I've already gone as far as I could with this - due to my not playing with the exposure the original ruins came out quite dark in comparison to the rest.

Hey, some street photographers shoot like Bruce Gilden, I just prefer to take my shots whilst sitting in a comfortable chair with espresso in hand! :D
