That was in the local paper today, it has been spotted on near Wombourne Sainsbury's (maybe he's not happy at them selling Kangaroo steaks?)

You know i said i had a (unwanted) family of rats.....

I think there are 8 rats in there and the terrible thing is that they have got to go - terrible because they are so cute and incredibly funny.
Apart from calling the council to kill the b****ds, does anyone have any other ideas how to get rid of them? I have tried traps and poison but, alas, to no avail!

RSPCA may be able to help? Preferably you can get rid of them humanely, failing that, an air pistol (can't believe I said that sorry. I wouldn't resort to such tactics).

they should be fine since that black plague is over, just don't touch, invite them inside or make contact them

Bill, you haven't been to Wolverhampton, have you? The plague is alive, well and thriving here.

I did consider an air rifle but then also considered missing them or ricocheting off something and blinding one of the kids, or worse, a bird! I do want to remove them humanely but am getting to the point where i seriously couldn't give a &^% what happens to them! Picking up on AFB's point below about their movement and speed air rifle could prove tricky.

Air pistol is tricky as they move a lot. C4 or dynamite might be easier!

I like the C4 idea, i could get rid of a tree at the same time, saving a fortune in pest control and tree surgery - double whammy. Although, i am not sure thats legal - pity.
Don't suppose you know anyone willing to try?

I have no compassion for rats or other burrowing rodents (ie chipmunks). Kill them all.

If I had any C4 I'd use it on my own visiting rat. Or perhaps (insert name of many people I'd not mind leaving in a room of C4!).

These buggers aren't visiting they have moved in. Maybe we could share the cost of that room, i could insert plenty of names!
[doublepost=1534527750][/doublepost]Apparently, the pest controllers use a tube/pipe coated on the inside with poison, the rats run through it, gets poison on their fur and heads back to the nest, the other rats then lick clean the poisonous one's fur and they all die!

What about squirrels, not burrowing but a rodent. Surely you have a soft spot for those?
we have squirrels that deliver their off spring in this cubby on the porch that the cats are overly interested in.
i have too much heart, humanity and selfness to remove them now.

The source of yesterdays little water cascade. It's probably about 20 metres high, approximating wildly here.

Prior to taking this pic, I had no idea that squirrels ate mushrooms. Learn something new every day....

Must have been expecting rain!
That's about 1000 to many people than I like when I'm on a beach with a camera.

Wow! That's super cool. May I ask, what is your setup?
Not sure I know what you mean by setup, Oscar? I tend to work from a tripod using a 3 axis geared head, have an old camera (the original 6D) and an even older lens (the original 24-105mm f/4 L). Simple, but it still lets me get prints at A1 size with great definition.

This image was a single exposure.
