As far as the eye can see.....a sea of beach umbrellas:

That is pretty much my idea of hell on earth. I cannot fathom why people do that to themselves.

Very good.... I got it... I need to get up there as we are moving offices from Solna to Kista in the next month and I need to go check out the new office.

Air pistol is tricky as they move a lot. C4 or dynamite might be easier!

Yeah but dynamite ruins the flowerbeds. Plus, when telling the boss you are “going out to shoot” then you don’t give the game away...

Love this. I'm planning on heading down that way at some point for some night photography - any recommendations? Is there good car access?
Incidentally, I was out locally shooting some test shots of my Samyang (Rokinon) 12mm a couple of months back and managed to get a lot of shooting stars, at least one or two every image over the course of 45 mins. No idea if there was any kind of event at the time - I just wish I had been in a location with a properly dark sky.

If you look for dark sky sites on the astrology websites, you can find the places to go. I think the Galloway forest is our closest area though.

I too want to go try this but I have the challenge of not wanting to drive for an hour and a bit to find that it is not a good night. So that kind of puts me off a bit.

It's a boring way, but it's a nice detour from Solna. The 404 runs from Muodoslompolo to Muonio.

This is the remnants of a thunderstorm receding into the distance at sunset. I've never seen cloud colours this intense before, but by the time I got the camera out the rainbow in the centre had nearly faded.

Lost a little quality in the crop but I thought this one turned out pretty well. It was like she stopped to pose for a second, or maybe realized it was a heck of a lot hotter in the sun that she just stepped out in.

Raining now, so no morning session for cricket today. A couple of weeks ago I snapped this one, which was used for the match report in the local press:

That was in the local paper today, it has been spotted on near Wombourne Sainsbury's (maybe he's not happy at them selling Kangaroo steaks?)

You know i said i had a (unwanted) family of rats.....

I think there are 8 rats in there and the terrible thing is that they have got to go - terrible because they are so cute and incredibly funny.
Apart from calling the council to kill the b****ds, does anyone have any other ideas how to get rid of them? I have tried traps and poison but, alas, to no avail!
Call in the terriers.
