The car is pretty cool but just look at the drivers, even cooler.

Dunure Castle

This imposing ruin was once a prominent Scottish Castle built by Clan Kennedy of Carrick in the 13th century. It is steeped in history, from playing host to Mary Queen of Scots in 1563 to being the site of the rather grim "Roasting" of Allan Stewart, the Commendator of Crossraguel in 1570. This image of the castle and it's reflection in the low tide during the 'golden hour' is something I first saw in my mind's eye back in 2004/05 and never really got round to completing. I'm glad to now have ticked it off the list.

Shot Info: Fuji X-T3 with XF 16-55mm f2.8 lens using Kase Wolverine 0.6 Neutral Density Medium Graduated Filter and Circular Polarising filter (set weakly for the sky). 1/5s / f11 / ISO 160

I believe it was MollyC sometime ago that asked about some who are regulars but to not post photos - got out a camera that had been laying around the house for a while and was happy to see that the battery could be charged so took this photo as a test shot and then took the camera on a short vacation so I now have a few photos to share!

This is Meadow.

I've been reviewing old pics to print. This is from a trip to Italy in 2013. I posted a version of this in last month's POTD thread. The image has been haunting me. In the version I shared before, I left my feet in the bottom of the pic to give a sense of orientation--it was shot from above looking down. It's part of the street and not a wall, for example.

But the image has been bugging me, feeling close but not quite there.

So I did another edit. This time cropping out my feet and also doing a guided transform in LR making each side of the grate "straight" relative to an ideal shot from above. In other words, making it a "perfect" rectangle.

I think I'm happy with this version :)

“Japanese Lantern” according to the sign on the tree. Related to the hibiscus.
Also known as Skeleton hibiscus or Coral hibiscus.
Very pretty Bokah.

Looks like it needs some work! Also looks like you must have waded out to get the reflection. Nice job.

Nice picture. The castle is what the Real Estate con artists would describe as a 'renovators opportunity'.

Trust me as someone who is house hunting at the moment I’ve come to learn that ‘could benefit from some modernisation’ means it’s a shell. You need to do everything!
