First tryout with Sony 200-600mm. This thing is extremely sharp. Heavy, but well...

Looks like it needs some work! Also looks like you must have waded out to get the reflection. Nice job.

Thanks. I was on a small rocky outcrop but kept an eye on the tide so I didn’t get cut off. The ruin is secure enough and has had a lot of work done to it over the years. It’s been in ruins for hundreds of years and I’m surprised it still stands.

Waterfall in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom from a trip there last week. Shot and processed on my iPhone XS Max using Lightroom CC camera long exposure mode. I left my camera gear at home this time and I am impressed more and more with what can be done with the iPhone. A polarizing filter would have been good for this shot, but quite happy with the result anyway.

It would have been better with proper camera, tripod and filters, but this is very close. Impressive indeed.

I watched the C8 reveal, and they even said this model is designed to accommodate steering wheels on the right side. It’s usually considered one of the better “everyday” sports cars when it comes to being a daily driver, so maybe you can use that bit to help your cause. ;)
Good try...

Another familiar scene. Not the best sunset and the 30-sec exposure didn't really do much to help. Comments always appreciated.

Sharp and heavy are often bedfellows I’m afraid. Enjoy your new glass.

Pretty good sunset compared to the ones we’ve been having of late. Our summer is cancelled.

Can you tell I've been on vacation?? (Not to worry, one of the first things I spotted when getting home was a monarch butterfly, so I will share that later. :D)

Thank’s!
You’re right. The only lens I have used which was very sharp and small/light was Sony/Zeiss 55mm f/1.8.

I'm still going over old pics in preparation for doing some printing and wanted to share another oldie. The more time I spend going over old pics, the larger the pool of potential prints is getting rather than shrinking as I need it to do.

This one is from 2008 on a trip to NYC. Taken with a D700 and Nikon 14-24 @ 22mm. The original file is a JPEG (I wasn't yet shooting RAW). As an aside, I thought I was being smart by walking around NYC all day with a 14-24 f/2.8, 50 f/1.4, and 70-200 f/2.8. I wanted to have the "right" lens available for whatever I encountered. Huge mistake and it was an important lesson. The kit was so heavy that I wanted to just drop it on the ground and walk away by the end of the day. Sore neck and sore shoulder. Sore feet too. Will *never* make that mistake again ;).

Brooklyn Bridge. I initially converted it to B&W at the time and cropped it to vertical. On editing it again today I decided I like it better horizontal and did both a color and B&W version. I'm currently liking the color version better, but that might be because I am so used to seeing it in B&W :).
