No worries. This is actually the first time I've logged on since I posted, so I didn't even notice the delay ;).

I really like your posted image. Very compelling. Well done on all counts :).

I'll share one final image from last weekend with the 9mm and Z6 IR. Another from the backyard around the pool. Different view of the shed.

Thanks, it's a lot of fun creating those images in abandoned and ruined places of decrepitude.

Another cool point of view from you, really using the huge field of view to its best!

Butterflies aren’t as tough to pin down as those hummingbirds!

In my work, I've spent a lot of time at the Botanical Gardens in Atlanta . . .

. . . there's this dude who's a Regular [visitor], and [seemingly] his only Mission in Life is to photograph hummers . . . carries some serious gear, and gets some Good Product <smile>

I, too, prefer to photograph things that do not instantaneously teleport (such things make my left eye start to tick, a little bit)....

It's another day Downunder, so I'm posting my next one now, rather than in the morning as it's going to be a frantic one ahead for me. Still at the abandoned nursing home, this time at the other end of the complex, where there is a passage resplendent with hundreds of coathangers hanging there; as you would obviously do if given the opportunity! More dragged shutter play, this time using a found curtain in a neighbouring room to suggest the presence of an apparition.

Sunrise [Virtual] Feathers 5k at Arabia Mountain this morning (unfamiliar terrain (in low-light conditions)) . . . too much to process 'right now', but this is the Sharing Gem as I wash the recollections:

luna-mate_duo.jpg

Luna moth (Actias luna) pairing.

While they were sharing code, I found time to image the antennae of the male (as best I could) . . .

luna-mate_male-2.jpg

The male has a smaller body, but a discernibly larger set of antennae (supposedly for increased bandwidth, that He may more-easily find::smell his awaiting Love) ;)

Shot with an iPhone 8 in light-filtered, dewy post-dawn lighting....

Enjoy.

Glad its not just me! These started growing round by our gas tank.
Those are snapdragons. If you pinch them gently near the base of the flower (fingers positioned on the left and right sides), they open up like a mouth. Growing up, my mom would like to do this and pretend like they were talking to me. It’s a fun little plant.

I love the pattern. I have to ask though, what are these?

Thanks! They are the LED bulbs in my UV light flashlight..... Got to looking at the thing one day and thought it would be fun to experiment with it, using the bulbs as the subject rather than using the bulbs lit up to shoot something else. Shot a few images with the macro lens, but when in post-processing is when I decided to crop and zoom in closer, showing just the bulbs, and to convert to B&W, which seemed a natural move. They're covered with a pane of glass, of course, which contributes to the high reflectivity when other lights are shining on the UV flashlight's face and surface..... The odd bits here-and-there aren't dust or dirt, they're reflections.
