Love your processing work!
Thank you! It's so simple i'm almost embarrassed. In Photoshop i'm only adjusting the dark/right side on the image slightly upwards and down a notch in the center.

Kitesurfing I believe is the correct term but I may be wrong.I don't know what this is called, but it sure looks fun.

Thanks. He was literally flying from time to time, likKitesurfing I believe is the correct term but I may be wrong.
So now you have to drive into the village and pick up your mail from the post office I assume...Last one for August, this time of one of our rescue dogs, Finn, looking quite soppy.
Don't be fooled by his cute looks; this dog has the sharpest front teeth the postman has ever experienced. I hasten to add, he didn't bite the postman but he rushed out past me and was hanging off the post bag by his teeth

Our postman always carries dog biscuits. No, I put a cage inside around the letter box so that Finn couldn't destroy the mail, and if I open the front door he is held tight by his collar.
The thing is, when we're out he is a softy and will go to anyone for cuddles, but at home he takes his security guard job very seriously.
Cheers

Last summer sometimes when I was shooting Alfred I would see him standing there with his mouth open and his tongue rapidly flipping up-and-down, with his throat sort of gently ballooning in-and-out. He was always too far away for me to hear if he were singing or vocalizing, and he wasn't eating anything. The other day I noticed he was doing the same thing while standing on the pier, and this time I remembered to look in Google and see if I could find some explanation of this behavior.
It's called "gular fluttering," and he does it to cool himself down on a hot day. Definitely that afternoon was a hot and very humid one, so this explanation makes perfect sense! Why he didn't just get in the water and chill out that way I have no idea, but he seemed happy enough to just stand on the pier for a long time......

Sorry, I keep forgetting to actually identify his species! Alfred is a Great Blue Heron, which is larger than a Green Heron or a Tricolor Heron. Alfred is blue, grey and cream, with touches of other colors as well. One day last summer I found myself thinking of him and referring to him as "Alfred," and later it dawned on me that I had made a subconscious connection to history: Alfred the Great......Is he a Green Heron? Sorry if i've missed that in earlier posts. Was checking reddit (birding) section and saw a series of photos of a Green Heron and checked it up. The only live in America (South and North) unfortunately. Would love to "catch" one with my camera.
