Due to a flurry of great macros recently, I bought myself a 'new' lens; I couldn't afford the Nikon 105mm so I got the much older 60mm.

This is the rose Tequila Sunrise in the front garden...

Nikon D7200, AF Micro-Nikkor 60mm f/2.8, 1/500 @ f/3.2, ISO 100

Cheers :)

Fortress of the Bear in Sitka is a privately run rescue operation for orphaned bear cubs in Alaska. It is illegal to rehabilitate orphaned bears and reintroduce them into the wild, so Fortress of the Bear takes these cubs in, cares for them and tries to place them in zoos around the world. This is a photo of an Alaskan Costal Brown Bear.

I had a dedicated macro lens at one time, but didn’t use it much and sold it off. I took a chance on a macro adapter that threads onto the front of my 45mm 1.8, and it does a much better job that I thought it would. At $60 new, it was also a very cheap way to scratch the macro itch!
