.. saw a large shrub with these lovely flowers -- captured a closer look at one flower that was capturing some of the first of the morning 'golden' sun - walk early this morning, that included a walkabout in a courtyard of a neighbourhood apartment complex.

Top picture I took in 1987, bottom is a Google earth screen capture. I'm not clever enough to make a slider to show the then/now stuff, so I made this simple composite.

I have to say this iPhone 13 mini takes good pictures as I was out to eat and this classic car was parked next to me.

We were there on September 11th 2001, beautiful beach , terrible day.
I have the 12 Pro Max and shoot ProRAW with it and am quite amazed at the quality. And it's my go-to device for 4K video. My Canon 90D 32MP DSLR does excellent 4K with interchangeable lenses but really needs to be used with a tripod for stabilization (for me, at least) while the iPhones have excellent stabilization. Be interesting to see what the 14 does with the camera.
We have several of these bottle brush plants (aka Little John, of the Callistemon family) in our yard. They look amazing when they are in full bloom.
