I bet it's not. I bet it's a red tailed hawk in disguise....

Damn...how did you guess MacRy? I thought the clever disguise and my outstanding photo editing technique was an easy way to add variety to my shots. :)

Ah ha! You went to Bonaventure Island :) How did you like the...perfume in the air ;)

Nice shot !

Thanks Robert and you're close. It was actually the Gannet colony in Cape St. Mary's Newfoundland.

Similar experience I'm sure. At first you're overwhelmed at the sight of thousands of large sea birds in one place at one time and doing all the things that birds do. After a while, you're overwhelmed by the smell of thousands of large sea birds in one place at one time and doing all the things that birds do.

I liked the colours in this one.

Very nice MacRy...love this one! I have to say that your subway (tube) looks so much more interesting, colourful and overall, photogenic than our soulless hole underground.

Outstanding shot Doylem! I love the subtle colour and tones.

I haven't visited many tube station on the London Underground but I think it's safe to say not all of them are as atmospheric and photogenic as Baker Street. I've certainly passed through some that I wouldn't want to spend too much time in.

I used to commute the Northen Line. To be honest I wouldn't want to take my camera out in most!

This is a dramatic sky over my home town a couple of weeks ago. Only had the iphone on me but thought any pic was better than none.

1/40, f2.4, ISO 50.

Very little PP. Slight change on the clarity and shadows and that's about it IIRC.

The shot works well with just one person, giving it a slight air of menace...

I know what you mean. I find it quite a melancholic photo as the guy has a big bunch of flowers in his hands and the moody light makes me think that they are a kind of condolence present rather than a celebratory one. They were probably for his loved one and were a wonderful surprise for him/her......funny how lighting can change expectations isn't it.

Wonderfully sharp, detailed image that :)

Edit, how do I quote with thumbnails?

Thanks!

To quote with thumbnails have a look at the first post in this thread and click on the How to Restore Thumbnails… link. Just ask on here again if it's not clear. :)

A desolate walk up to the Ijen plateau. The clouds gave this eerie feel to the place, but they were mixed with sulphur dioxide so it smelled like a fart-festival. Not that I've ever been to one of those :)
