Tatoosh Range in Mount Rainier Natl' Park

This is the Tatoosh Range in Mount Rainier National Park. The Tatoosh range is pretty awesome, pretty much anytime of the year. Whether it's snow covered or bare like in this shot.

This is a reprocess of an older file. In fact, I was still shooting with my Canon 60D and the Sigma 17-50 f/2.8. Originally, I had bracketed the shot to blend exposures. But in reality, there's more than enough information on a single exposure to get all the dynamic range intact.

Why reprocess an old file? as I learn and experiment new techniques and different approach to developing my images, I find that sometimes previous work, is not up to current standards and it can be improved. Sometimes it can't and you just throw it away. Fortunately this isn't the case! But, it's the third time I've processed this file in an 18 month span and I'm ready to call it the definitive edition. What do you think?

Canon 60D, focal length 30mm, ƒ/11, 1/25 sec, ISO 100

Wow! Nice shot! I haven't checked out the website yet, but are your old processed pics of this shot up there?

More from the "Reflections" series. This time, walking around my neighborhood, a couple of nights ago. Christmas lights on the lake.

Probably my favourite of the series so far.

Very nice shot. I to go over some of my older stuff. However I'm usually just deleting it not reprocessing it! The joy of still being a newbie. My early stuff is rubbish, and my later stuff is only slightly better!

Just keep on keeping on! eventually everything comes together!

At the local beach yesterday afternoon playing with the 10 stop ND filter, it was really wind and part way through this exposure the sun broke out and blew my highlights nicely! I was short on time and really wanted some other vignettes too, so raced off to capture them. I'll revisit this one, when I have heaps of time and the weathers right!

Very interesting shot Alex. The colour, composition and exposure is spot on. The lighting takes some time to digest and absorb...it's very surreal and I definitely like it!

Headlights on a foggy night. I love fog for some reason. Seeing the fog tonight I felt like I needed to shoot something.

Not had a chance to take any new stuff recently. There was a beautiful sunrise this morning, but my camera was at work, and there was no suitable location to capture a shot on my journey into work.
So heres another one from the other week. Used the same masking as the other week in LR with not quite as good results as the car.

New iPhone was sitting on my desk and my X100 was nearby....

iPhone 4S flashlight provided the light stream.

I understand I can get away with posting a load of pix that look much the same by calling them a series. So here it is... drum roll... the 'Moondancer Series'... :p

I keep having visions of the Goodies' 'Pirate Radio' episode, whenever I see this little boat! :p

Thanks, Peter, I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was quite surreal light yesterday, it really reminded me of the light you would have during a cloudless full moon, so that's what I ran with.

Yes that's it! I couldn't quite place it in my mind but now that you say that, it does look like full moon light...interesting.

This is not a good photo as I was hanging out of my bedroom window and shooting one handed and blind but I had to share because it captured the sky beautifully. Really awesome colours this morning.

Hehe. I see what you did there!
For the record, same subject or not, I never get tired of your stuff.
