That's pretty much what I thought when I looked out my back window at 1am last night. Out the back door I went with my camera.

Test shot with a newly acquired 70-300mm VR, 300mm, 1/30, F11, ISO 400, just before the heavens opened.
These lenses won't get sharp photos at full range with anything under f8, but I think I'm finally getting a little used to it.
