Have I been to some pretty New England lighthouse location recently? I think not. More Old England than New England. Disused lighthouse on the Mersey. Comments always appreciated. I'll admit to a bit of (over)post on the sky.

Ian, this was taken from what was the most southern point in Lancashire (before regional reorganisation) - Hale Point. It's the opposite bank of the Mersey from the Wirral which would be off-frame over to the right in this shot. The "industry" on the horizon is the Stanlow refinery.

Its a bit east of John Lennon - on the shore just outside of Hale Village. Easy to miss. Weather here has been wet but remarkably mild so far - one of the few dry days in December.

I imagine that she adopts the same thousand yard stare that Mrs MacRy has when I start telling her about the different movements I need to add to my collection, or why I "need" another lens for my camera.I am not even going to try and deny my affliction! me too.
My wife thinks I am a sad loser when I go into watch nerd mode. Or camera nerd mode or computer ner....... no wait.... yeah she just thinks I am a sad loser...
