Yup... that's winter in Scotland all right. Makes me shiver just looking at the pic.
And I like to see wildlife in the wilds... not in some zoo or safari park. I may not get as close a view... but I know I'm entering their world on their terms... which is far more exciting...

BTW... if you're just 'quoting' pix, as above, convert the 'IMG' to 'TIMG'... and this displays a thumbnail. And it'll save you a 'slap on the wrist' from one of the mods.

We had a good trip. A bit wet though, but the scenery was great as always.

Valdore, I have seen two shots of yours that were unbelievable and inspirational. This is one of them.
The other one, might I add is definitely one of the best photos (HDR or not) I have ever seen in my life. I shall resurrect that photo here today, so that everyone can indulge in its magnificence:

Thanks, Carlos. It's really easy getting good pics here where I live, all the surfers are aggro since good waves are not common on the east coast. I am shooting for ESA and NSSA events, got a USA skim comp this weekend... haven't found any paying customers yet but the groms love me! I can feel my lucky break is right around the corner.edit: oh, yeah I shoot mostly Brevard county, Florida where I live. from cocoa beach pier to sebastian inlet there are around 20 good breaks within 30 miles - when there is swell.

Thanks for your kind words. The picture was taken at Corbiere Lighthouse in Jersey in the Channel Islands last week. I have taken a number of others before the sun got so low that day. Will post one soon.
