Long Meg and her Daughters...

I like this shot, but I think I would like it more if either the sky was clearer or maybe the grass a bit less saturated. This is just an opinion, of course you cant make the sky clearer but, too me, I think if the sky and ground blended a bit more then it would look better. Amazing picture nonetheless.

Nailed to the bed with flu ( and a powerbook), so it's time to process and post
yet another scottish photo.

Thanks. I'm a big fan of grey skies and so-called 'bad' weather. The photo opportunities may not come every minute, but when when they do come, it can be a bit special. When the sky is darker than the land, it seems like all the 'laws of light' are turned upside down... and the conventions of landscape photography too. You certainly don't need a grey grad (or HDR or post-production) to 'balance things up'...

I've been looking on eBay for a second-hand Sigma 10-20... but it looks like everyone is hanging on to them... :(

I'm curious, though, why you'd shoot this at the widest (10mm), 'cos the extreme view doesn't seem to suit the subject ('pincushioning', etc). I could imagine the doorway, and interior, looking more 'natural' with a lens somewhere about 'standard'... when you'd be able to stand further away. Just my 'two-pennorth'... :)
