Architectural detail of a hundred year old fire house garage.
I spent ages trying to lose some fencing on a tiger I shot but nothing worked for me.Been on here daily but not posted for a while so thought it about time I did!
We went to Birmingham Botanical Gardens today, where I was expecting to find lots of exotic flowers but I wasn't expecting to see exotic birds too!
Nice place to walk around, the gardens would sure be better in the spring/summer but it is still a nice way to spend a few hours especially when the sun shows its face. Sadly, these beauties were behind a cage which is why there is a sort of silver shadow across the middle of the shot - any suggestions about how to PP that out, would be nice.

I’ve never been to the gardens, but only live 10 miles away. I should probably make a visit in the spring.
Thanks for the feedback and the place to check out! Those fences are a pain, i wondered why they couldn't use perspex, but that might prove difficult to keep clean!
Looks like I'll have to put up with the 'ghost'.
You should go, it is a very nice place but i would wait until spring/summer when more flowers would be in bloom and the butterfly house would be open. It £6.75 for adults to get in.
BTW, of your two tree shots, the second is definitely better (IMO) i much prefer the shadows and the light coming through the tree giving it a lovely golden glow.
Managed to get out for a couple of hours today - glorious weather for February (or any time of the year for that matter). Sky a bit featureless and a bit too-high contrast lighting but take what you get! Owen falls in Snowdonis. Comments always appreciated.

Very creative.Out with the camera last night, I decided on some handheld panning.

I love deserted locations.Today's outing. Love going to the beach on a workday as it is deserted. View attachment 823133

The tiger wouldn't go where I asked!Best way I have found (for me) is to stand as far back as possible, subject not right at the fence, wide aperture and hope the OOF will melt away enough. Obviously not always practical. Only other way I have found is to use a small lens that can fit through the gaps or at least get a big enough image to crop.
Tried all sorts of editing, colour matching, stitching images and I couldnt get it right.

Did you take your tripod? I'm on a non photography trip next week and I'm contemplating if I can fit it in!
Anyway last one of the tree I've been struggling to edit. This time a B&W conversion.

Let me know which you prefer!
I have a pixi as well. It will be in my bag for Barcelona. I leave a week tomorrow. Just the sort of rest I need before TPS.I prefer the BnW version but I am in a mono mood right now.
Tripod yes and no. No I didnt take my full height one, yes I had a pixi with me and made use of static objects for angles. I find the version 1 pixi to be great in that kind of situation. The ones from a couple weeks ago that i took from southbank in london were also with the pixi.
A few shots were taken handheld too
