This was a dinosaur exhibit at Leu Gardens, an historic homestead in Orlando, FL. This is one of 15 exhibits set-up throughout the gardens with maps for kids (and adults) to locate. Was nice that each exhibit was well separated and appeared in a natural state within the lush gardens.
The Sordes was from the Jurassic Period. Only one fossilized remain has been found.
While technically was a photo club outing showed up. First was a weather dud and myself and two people showed up, then rescheduled. I have an annual pass and went both times for 'free'. While my favorite is to walk around with an 85mm prime, unless touring the house (16-35mm) that is about to re-open after 2 years of hurricane repairs, I limited myself to a 50mm macro Nikon/Sony adapted (no electronics/full manual and focus) fogged up glasses with the mask and post rain humidity resulted in about 50% "acceptable" photos in sharp focus. Returned with a 70-200 on the second outing.
Had several POTD, and the forum system will merge today's...so here it is - with the 70-200, obviously. Previously posted one full body running through the bamboo forest. The map notes this one is a Daspletosaur.
