Where is that? Here in Athens it is 18c/64f back to chilly Geneva tomorrow.
Going back to your response to my previous post above... The OM1 looks ideal for this type of photography.
Oh sure, I’ve been trying to talk myself out of preordering one, and then you remind me! ?Going back to your response to my previous post above... The OM1 looks ideal for this type of photography.

Back in the 80s I sold cameras - we had the OM-1 (film of course). The camera, I heard, that went with the climbers on Mt Everest. Nice, sturdy, small build unit. I had a Leica R4s at the time, I almost sold that to get the OM-1Oh sure, I’ve been trying to talk myself out of preordering one, and then you remind me!
It sounds like a great camera, Darmok -- go for it!
I’m accepting donations from those who wish to live vicariously through my wallet. ?OM-1 looks quite compelling. The multishot performance looks like it is a lot faster now so very tasty looking. I imagine a 12-40 pro would be wonderfully balanced on it and it looks like they have fitted a deeper grip so it is nicer for those of us who are club fisted to hold.
I look forward to hearing how you find it.
.... go on
... you know you want to
... better to regret having tried than not
