Yes, we get them quite often here too. Sometimes it’s just one pair, other times, it’s a flock of them hanging out together.
Thank you! Yes, the light, the water and the reflections all were magical. I was also able to get much closer to the Hoodies because I was actually out on the boardwalk. I was surprised, though, that they frolicked around not all that far from me and didn't instantly go zipping away. They're such fun ducks to watch! I'll miss them when they go away in April, which is their usual pattern.
I know they are technically Mourning Doves, but I call them Fat Birds. I talk to them all the time and keep them well fed.

We went for a walk last night as we hadn't had any fresh air yesterday. The frame after this was a better shot but the look on the boss' face leaves no doubt as to how she feels about having her picture taken
Looking through my photo roll of my recent Athens sejour trying to pick the more interesting less "touristy" pics - and given I have family there and been many times have lots of those.
Taken through the window of an antiquity shop (never open the whole 3 weeks I was there) you may recognize Odysseus tied to the mast of his ship so he could listen to the music of the sirens. Full of interesting looking reproductions quite unlike the tacky stuff sold in tourist shops.
