Christ! You sound like me! What have we turned you into?!?!

In all honesty you cant go wrong with a summicron but check the bay, there are a few on there cheaper than that but dont kniw about quality. The Summicron is just as good whether it was made last month or last millennium. It is still awesome.

Imagine the damage we could do if we went shopping for lenses together!
Sounds like a blossoming bromance!

His and his matching lenses! :p

I'll have to have a think about this one as it's a big chunk of change even with some cash from the Nokton. Thing is though that I like small and light gear, hence the reason for going mirrorless and the Nokton weighs a ton in comparison to my Voigt 35mm and the Jupiter 8 50mm. As a result I find I don't use it as much because it's a bit too bulky to sling in my rucksack when I'm out and about around London. The cron is a perfect size and weight for me. The bokeh ain't bad either ;)

Mate we would be stone broke if we were let loose together lens shopping.....plus we'd be single after we returned home.

no mate, I could NEVER go home... If I went for a serious purchasing session...

I hear what you are saying. I have tried a Summicron on an A7 and it is incredible. Easy to focus, compact like you say. It is a great lens BUT.... you will always be able to get one for that price point and now the new 35mm has come out, they will get cheaper as the 50 will follow. So don't rush into it...

Now see that would be like an alcoholic on a distillery tour if I went there! (Not sure if this is a little off colour joke. Apologies if this offends you).

I am gettin' a hankerin' for glass again... And yes, I think your photog budget is gone for this year.

We all need to focus on using our gear better instead of yearning for that next wee GAS fix...

Nothing offends me. Except warm beer of course.

So it's time you changed clothing.

(sorry, couldn't resist the challenge
the quote is from a friend in London that was talking to our 1 year old daughter. She just smiled at him. She's 12 now and would probably understand what he says, but now she thinks it's funny.)

And you didnt take issue at your friend giving your one year old a pint no? :)
[doublepost=1453935189][/doublepost]I am sure a psychologist would have a field day analysing the way these conversations head off on a tangent from "heres my picture for today" through to "your mother dresses you funny"...
