Just got back from spending 5 days in Yosemite National Park. Here's a photos of The Three Brothers taken along the Merced River which winds it's way through the Yosemite Valley. Unfortunately, it's under several flight paths so occasionally I couldn't avoid contrails. I guess I may have some work to do in post-processing.

Saw the sunrise coming up this morning through the kitchen window so I snapped this.
This is the image directly out of the camera, the colors were great. The black along the right side is part of the window, but I didn't mind it being there.

Went to kitchen window today and saw amazing golden colours as the sun was setting behind one of the streets nearby. Had to grab a shot!

I went to the kitchen window and made a cup of tea! Plus the view from my kitchen isn't as nice as your two.

I get to see the sky. You get to see wildlife! We get nothing but Magpies in our garden... Funny as I grew up in Newcastle and we are of course of the football team nicknamed Magpies... I hate football though...

That is a beautiful photo, I'm very glad it wasn't lost. Very challenging conditions and yet it looks so serene. What a hair-raising story!

For the life of me I cant understand how pundits can debate a 90 minute game for 2 hours! Life is just too short for something with zero value add to life!
I hate being categorised socially (and professionally sometimes) based on a team I may or may not support and when my status regards the game is known, i sink lower....
Sorry football fans... just my opinion...
I've no problem with people playing for fun, but the whole razzmatazz of professional football is completely OTT in my opinion. No need to worry about the opinion of those who don't respect someone who has the courage of their own convictions, just because they don't agree with them. Way to go kenoh!

Sunday morning looking out a door after the blizzard. We were spared some of the snow that fell further south along the East Coast and only got around 8-10 inches.

So you guys might not like this one but I kind of like it. I was messing about with the camera and my 4 year old was running round. She was running crazy and kept coming into my office, seeing the camera and darting away as I took a picture of her. She was giggling and laughing, loving it. In amongst the shots was this one and for some reason I kind of like the motion blur and the ghost effect especially in the way you can almost make her out. Oh, yes! I forgot, yes, I know I need to sand and paint the door... it is on the list of renovation tasks but not got to it yet... so excuse the nasty door.
