I'm just glad I was not driving in that stuff! It really was pretty to watch, but I'll bet really nasty for driving....... Molly, I'm glad you and the kids got home safely! That final burst of snow was rather a surprise, and not a welcome one at that! It was strange all day, on-and-off snow, sometimes intense, other times mere flurries or gentle cascades of tiny flakes. Eventually it all accumulated to about nine inches, as Molly says. I spent some time this afternoon cleaning it off my car -- no garage here, unfortunately!

Yep, I hang out at the Tysons Apple store, as it is the one closest to me, but I also have gone to Reston or Fair Oaks a few times when they've had something I needed and the Tysons store was out of stock.

All these Western US pictures have me wanting to go back out there! It’s been 10 years now since I even made it to central Colorado, but since I’m in a photography rut, here’s an oldie pano from Garden of the Gods, with a little old mountain that the locals call “Pike’s Peak” in the background. ;)

There’s a lot here, but I especially like the tree standing all by itself!

Stunning!

I love watching and photographing river otters (no ocean nearby) and have spent many hours trying to anticipate where they're going to pop-up through the ice. Kinda reminds me of one of those carnival whack-a-mole games. :)
