This image had a fair bit of post camera help. Strangely the first step was reducing the saturation level to try and get some detail in the petals, which were completely blocked. This from the Canon Powershot A-550.
Thanks - would you recommend AI over 4 - and do you use 4 in combination with Photos?Luminar 4 and the new AI are just about the same as far as performance. I only see a difference in how ‘Templates’ are suggested and applied versus the old ‘Looks’.
Overall, there is little difference from my experience. Browsing files is still clumsy. There is a filmstrip view though, so that helps.
You may want to do the trial version of Capture One - I liked it. However I chose LR due to its mobile integration.Like the depth in this picture. I'm looking to replace Lightroom - which do you like better; Luminar 4 or the new AI version?
Thanks - I'll look at that one too. I don't use Lightroom often (maybe 1 or 2 times a month) but I do like the results, so it will be hard to move from it. I'm also looking to get an iPad so there is that capability available if I stay with Lightroom. You may want to do the trial version of Capture One - I liked it. I used 4 with Photos and other apps, and AI will replace it. I mainly process my raw files in Capture One Pro (Fuji). ‘Creative’ edits are in Luminar. Thanks - would you recommend AI over 4 - and do you use 4 in combination with Photos?
What is it? Reminds me of the prisoner.
Thanks - sounds like going to AI would be a better choice than going with Luminar 4. Thinking that since AI isn't that expensive, I'll just get that and see how I like it before my Lightroom account runs out in April. There are or were issues with Big Sur and Luminar 3 and Luminar 4, when one tries to export an edited image and the program crashes. I experienced that with Luminar 3 so stopped using it. When Luminar AI came along, no problems with exporting images after editing them. I store my image files on external drives only after I have worked on them, so in my situation, I edit new images on the computer on the internal drive, and export from Luminar AI to the desktop. After that once I have finished anything else I am going to do with the image, I then transfer all the edited images and the RAW files to my photo folders on external drives.
How does Luminar 4 work if all of your pictures are on an external drive, and, the reviews I've read seem to complain about the photo export capabilities of the program - do any of you have issues with that?
There is a sculpture with three large concrete balls ("Giant Pool Balls") at the Aasee in Münster. The other two are in my first picture this month. What is it? Reminds me of the prisoner.
By way of documentation of the natural history for the photogenic teenage cygnets, this is their fluffy selves in July 2020. iPhone 7.
Most likely your image was overexposed when it was taken and that area is unrecoverable with no detail. If you shoot manual mode, the use spot metering and meter so the white bird is +1 overexposed. What adjustment would I need to do within the Photo app in order that the adult is not so white?
