Just got myself a macro kit for my Lensbaby, so all I need now are some flowers and some of your talent ;)

Cheers :)

Hugh

Have fun with those closeup filters, they really work well, as I discovered with the ones that came with my Lensbaby Sol 45. I can use mine not only with the LB but also I saw additional possibilities and promptly got a step-down ring and also can use them with my Sony 50mm f/2.8 macro, which I've done a couple of times.

As for subject matter, macro and closeups don't always have to be of just flowers or insects.....look around, find some interesting object in your house and experiment with it. Make the ordinary look extraordinary, create an abstract out of just a section of it, or surround it with interesting props..... Grab something out of the fridge or out of the bowl of fruit on the table and see what you can do with that, too. Have fun with your new tools!

Bingo! You nailed it! I wondered if anyone would make the connection..... I took the shot one day last week but then never got around to posting it and today since I hadn't yet shot anything new thought, "ah, yes, time for this one to make an appearance!" and posted it.
I dabbled a bit in playing Go at school, so I know these items. I never was any good... ;)

I have another picture of the same picture and the reason I did this is that I'm a AFOL (A Fan Of LEGO) that didn't want this to get political or heated. Just click on the picture if you want to see the other one.

AFOL here too, but of modest proportions. Love your LEGO pics!

Lovely photo! It's been ages since I last was in Kandersteg (way before you took that picture, actually....). I used to live less than an hour's drive away.
