I was struck by the vivid reminder of the circle of life as I gazed first at the adorable newborn Chris and then paid homage to Lyn, whose lovely soul and personality shines right through..... Hoisting a cup of coffee right now to her, as it's a wee bit early yet for something more potent. When evening comes, a glass will be raised to her as well....
Last night the lake began freezing over and that made for interesting reflections and patterns....

Thank you. I took that in 2016, 6 months before her 60th birthday, and about a year before it became apparent something was not well with her.

When my dear friend - soul mother got lung cancer. It was a horrible situation, for her - I handled it the way I could at the time. When she died, it was a relief, not for her passing, but for the pain and distress she did not have to endure. I miss her physical body dearly, her spirit lives on.
Now back to POTD
