Thanks. It’s new to me, but not new! I do know that PureRAW supports RAFs now, though it isn’t quite as transformative as it is on M43 sensors. With those, it was like a lens upgrade across the entire lineup.I noticed recently that after a long time of not supporting Fujifilm cameras that now with v.6, DXO PhotoLab is finally doing so.... Not sure what the issue was, whether it was about the color science or something else, but now people with Fujiflm gear can utilize the Fujifilm profiles in that editing program.
Congratulations on the new camera!
I think I’ll do better this second time around. Getting your MF Fuji figured out? Does it also do film sims?i hope you love it!!
What version of on1 are you using? I just have 2020, and my trial of 2023 didn’t reveal anything revolutionary. I do like that it is a standalone product. Not to go off thread, but my experience with DxO Photolab 5 and the files from my fuji XT3 were not, in the end result, as good as I was getting with ON1 Photo Raw.
@Darmok N Jalad - you will like how ON1 processes the Fuji files.
The XT3 has been my only camera for the last few years.
2023 - Mostly for the No Noise AI. It does a very good enhancement without getting overdone. What version of on1 are you using? I just have 2020, and my trial of 2023 didn’t reveal anything revolutionary. I do like that it is a standalone product.

You might give the X-E4 a look. It’s also a bit hard to find, but quite a nice little camera with the full APS-C X-trans treatment. Fuji makes some fun cameras, for sure. Almost too many to figure out which one to buy. The X-T line seems to be my preference.Yes, I love the GFX. It does have built in film sims, but I don't think there are all the recipes like there are for the X series; since the sensors are different I don't think they translate quite the same. But I haven't really explored setting custom settings like that since I have LR film presets that I like. I can see the appeal of the sims, though if you do a lot of jpeg shooting and don't want to edit.
I really love the ergonomics of the GFX, although it is a tiny bit large for me (but like an older dSLR model)....the X100V seems pretty appealing to me right now as a small purse camera, although they are really hard to get.
I have enough cameras with ILs, so the idea of a Fuji point and shoot seems super simple. 🙂 If I get an X100V it's one and done, no fuss...I don't want to change systems, just something small to throw in for quick outings. 🙂You might give the X-E4 a look. Yes, I think there were a lot of issues for Fujifilm users with earlier version of DXO PhotoLab, which is why the company made changes in PhotoLab 6.Not to go off thread, but my experience with DxO Photolab 5 and the files from my fuji XT3 were not, in the end result, as good as I was getting with ON1 Photo Raw.

Just super glue the 27mm lens on it then! I actually read that when kitted with that lens, it’s lighter than the X100V. 🤔I have enough cameras with ILs, so the idea of a Fuji point and shoot seems super simple. 🙂 If I get an X100V it's one and done, no fuss...I don't want to change systems, just something small to throw in for quick outings. 🙂
An unasked for factoid (and even better, not relevant either because most folks use different tools ) but Capture One teamed up with Fujifilm to build specific ICC profiles (+ other stuff I think) that mimic the in-camera sims. If you set the sim in camera, Fuji writes it out to the raw file and C1 matches and applies it so you can have the sim and edit in raw. Kind of cool.Yes, I love the GFX. oh, interesting. i'll look into it, thanks. 🙂 (I just don't want to go down third IL system, lol....if I get a small fuji that accepts lenses, I'll want all of them. 😉 )Just super glue the 27mm lens on it then! I actually read that when kitted with that lens, it’s lighter than the X100V. 🤔
yes, it's been scooped up by all the tiktokers currently, so hard to find, and overpriced typically when you do find it....but I've been tracking it recently, and it seems like supply might be coming back.An unasked for factoid (and even better, not relevant either because most folks use different tools ) but Capture One teamed up with Fujifilm to build specific ICC profiles (+ other stuff I think) that mimic the in-camera sims. I had the older x100f and it was a lovely camera (gone off to a happy home). The 100v would indeed be a lovely carry-around camera and has been improved all the way around, from what I can tell.
Sure it is - if you can afford the Q2, you have deep pocketsthe q2 isn’t pocketable
I just took a dive back into 2023, and I somehow missed the No Noise AI! It's not in the effects tab, but develop. Not only does it work well, it works faster than DxO PureRAW. I just took the plunge on the upgrade. I also like that they've improved the export dialog, and it seems to use GPU acceleration more than 2020 did. I guess that's 3 years of progress to justify an upgrade. Thanks for the tip.2023 - Mostly for the No Noise AI. It does a very good enhancement without getting overdone.
