I've posted images of this bunker building before. I don't know why I always want to stop and photograph it. It's a leftover kind of creepy building from the days when Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge was ... the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. It's role was to build, then eventually dismantle, chemical weapons. It was also used later for petroleum and agricultural chemical production, amongst other things. Then it was a Superfund site and now the NWR. Another nearby NWR and also former Superfund site is Rocky Flats, where I believe they manufactured nuclear triggers or some such.

Wow. I didn't know that. (Of course I didn't😁)
But funny that you did fantasize about them as tripods when you were little older🙂
Thanks for answering.

Edit: funny observation;
You @VampyricGentleman fantasized about them to be tripods from "War of the Worlds" when you were a older teen.
I fantasized about them being tripods from "War of the Worlds" and I'm 46....🤔😂
Just saw the edit, that’s because I’ve been seeing them for most of my life I guess 😂

Quite a bit more recent than what I have been posting. Goat Mountain, shot yesterday just after noon, from Frank, Alberta. This was a full wide angle shot with the camera tilted back quite severely, creating a lot of perspective distortion. Once I got it on the computer, I compensated by pulling the top corners outwards, which made the image look squished, so I then stretched it vertically to get it looking very close to what you might see had it been shot on 4x5 with a 90mm lens.

Another approach would be making a panorama from 3 or 4 vertical panes shot with a leveled camera. Then cropping most of the foreground. However it was -15°C so I opted for the all out cheat approach instead. Cross posted from the P52 thread.
