Not part of my usual quest for wildlife but I couldn't resist a visit to see this guy.

Village cricket (for US readers, think 'baseball on Valium'). It's hard to photograph: you either focus on one player, or try to show the whole game in context. This is Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, one of the oldest cricket grounds in the country that's still played on (rather than built on :(). And, look, something is actually happening: the bowler is watching the ball sail over his head for six...

Inside the O2 as well!

Good eye :)

I had just left a Monty Python show, thought it was funny people were queuing for Starbucks at that time, then saw the queue for the train station and decided to join them for an 11PM coffee.

I've long wanted a picture of the face detail of a Bird Poo Spider and finally managed to grab it when one appeared in a nectarine tree in our front yard recently. This is a female and at night she emits pheromones that smell like a female moth, luring unsuspecting male moths to within arms reach, where she then grabs them and feasts.

Being an old helo pilot, I'll vote for any RW picture...even if it is an AH instead of UH;) Cheers

They certainly put on a good show. Simulated canon and missle fire. Sadly we didn't know about that, so the pictures I have of the fire don't have the halo in it. You can just see the black smoke to the left.

Queuing for Starbucks at 11PM?

Well I'm going to extend my guess to saying that it was last Wednesday? I have recently become an incubatee at the building next to the O2 so I often see all the punters going to and leaving the shows!

This photo was pretty incredible to me as I was able to see more with the camera than with my own eye! Iso12800 and pushed a little in post too!

ISO 12800? You don't get much noise even at that high an ISO.
