No worries. I started out with the D3200 just over a year ago. Now look at what it's cost me! It's a fun but expensive hobby. Just remember to shoot, shoot shoot to learn, learn learn.
Try getting out of Auto and look at Aperture mode (the big A on the top dial) for a semi auto mode where you control the aperture and the camera adjusts the shutter speed. Gives you more control on things like blurring backgrounds out etc.
Also if you are on ISO, I'd recommend Nikon manual viewer 2 (so you always have your camera manual in your pocket. and Nikon Lean and Explore.
Both apps are free and worth a look.
Also don't be afraid to ask on here for advice. Loads of really good photographers who are generally more than happy to help.

Thanks, just downloaded the Manual Viewer (Android), Learn and Explore on IOS only though.

He he, I've been an iPhone user since they came out, but last year I got the largest Android available because of me eyes.
Honestly once you get used to them there's no real difference in what either system can achieve.

OK...Digital Done!

Look under digital photography, bridges. Enjoy and thanks for recommending that to this old timer. (In looks ONLY, mind you! I can still run a short race or climb a very small mtn.)
