Ok, got it this time...Packard:). Back at cha. I like these old hood ornaments. Might have posted this before but I like it. Sorry, I can't remember what was under this one.
Had an MGC for a very brief period of time .It truly deserved that for a hood ornament ! What a pig to work on . Only Beelzebub could have put that engine in that car , with help from none other than Joseph Lucas (the Prince of Darkness) on the electricals.

I don't remember the 50's, but if you say so!:D
I toyed with the idea of converting my old D300 to IR, but decided to sell it instead.
I like this image though.

We all had pink trees in the '50's! LOL!

I don't remember the 1950s either ;). Something about the blue and pink in the context of a pool made my brain go there, oddly.

For me it was worth it converting a body to IR. It offers a very different view of the world. Kind of niche, but one shot I took about a month ago is going to be published. Pretty much have to use Live View to focus and many lenses don't play well in IR, but it can be fun to play around with. Different tool in the toolbox.

[Edit: thinking about it more, I believe the connection that popped into my head relates to the fad of aluminum Christmas trees in the late 50s and early 60s--some of which were pink. I grew up watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special and it clearly made an impression on me ;)]
