I'm worried my shutters going to seize up with all this rain. Hopefully tomorrow morning might be better. I didn't choose a good week off.
Thought I'd share one of my early photos from 2013.

Reviewing older stuff can help us see how far we've come. Also leaves you wondering what you saw in some of your shots!

Fuji XE1 with Voigtlander Nokton 50mm 1.5

Had a spot of GAS today and may have ordered a Nokton 35mm 1.4 I figured it would stop me looking at endless reviews for it :) Really looking forward to getting that beauty and if I like it I'm going to sell my Fuji XF35 to part fund it.

Yeah yeah, stop teasing us. When does it arrive? when can we see some output? did you go SC or MC?

It's coming from Hong Kong so it's going to take about a week unfortunately. I went for the SC version, mainly because it was the cheapest version I could find.

Supposedly that is better for B&W which I thought would be a better fit for you. In honesty, from the reviews on the net and having had the 40mm, if you are careful with flaring then I doubt there is much difference.

Looking forward to seeing some shots and get ready for it. It is tiny and feels solid like one of those glass ball paperweights.

Yeah I've also read that there isn't much difference between the two and I can always boost the contrast in PP anyway. I quite like the read circular flares in produces, could be used creatively.

I wanted something a bit smaller than my 50mm as it's a bit larger than I'd like and I also wanted a nifty fifty equivalent to round out my collection of manual glass. I'm loving Voigtlander lenses at the minute and can't wait to get my mitts on it.

Genuinely was thinking that this morning, you are becoming a bit of a fan-lander [new term you read it here first].

Also in all seriousness I am looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Based on what you do with the 50, it should be good.

The Port Adelaide, South Australia area is ripe for the pickings and conversion to residential, if only we could get rid of the old cement factory and the old fertiliser factory, etc...

The lack of Exif data for a lens is because it was taken with a SamYang fully manual tilt-shift. I'll have to set up PTLens again, so it allows me to attach the data really easily.

Bugger. Just got an email saying that they're on holiday until next week so my lens won't be shipped until Monday :( I hate waiting #firstworldproblems

I keep coming back to this one. Something about the lines. Nice.
