Drool...!!! Beautiful colours. I wish Leica would do a Q50 or a Q35... instead of the digital crop they do today..
Said it before, say it again, your site is AMAZING! If I could ship them economically I would be buying some!

Ken's spent all his money on glass!
So here is another one I considered for last weeks competition. Decided against as I know people either hate or like selective colour. Just thought it worked for this shot. Let me know what you think.

Thanks. The flower was inside so that helped with the keeping it still. Plus instead of being my usual lazy self I had my tripod and macro flash speed lights with me. I have all the gear, but don't always take the right thing with me!So one of the things I struggled with taking a picture of these flowers was either getting the sting tovstay still long enough to get a sharp image, then getting that part to stand out enough. You have achieved both these things and yes, i think the selective colour has worked in this instance.

No hate here at all. I'm always interested in what people think. Selective colour is probably the second most devicive issue in photography (after Nikon v Canon!).Don't hate me, but I think the spot color in this case distracts the eye from the overall form of the flower. In your earlier color shot of the hibiscus the eye easily takes in the entire form of flower while in this shot the eye has a hard time doing that. Just my two cents.

Yes I suppose sharpness isn't for everyone!and HDR...
The fact number two is Canon vs Nikon is silly really, I mean why debate the runner up position? the winner is Sony...
Go on bite... go on... lets have a laugh...
